Wonderful!
I had to replace a $1200 color changing hayward prologic light after my pool was struck by lightning. Who in their right mind can justify that cost? I replaced it with a basic niche and this bulb. Beautiful. Even my pool repairman was impressed.

Easy swap out, very blue light, almost half blacklight look.
This bulb changes the look of our pool from the sickly incandescent yellowish green blue of our old 500W bulb to an electric blue, almost half blacklight look that makes white items glow. It was easy to install, a direct drop in replacement of the bulb in out pool light waterproof housing. It's only 36W also, so a lot less power and heat.

Great Lights
These were very easy to install and look great! Put one in the pool and one in the spa, very satisfied.

Poor quality
Bulb worked great for the first dozen times we used it. Then it suddenly went dim! I’ve only had it for 90 days or less using it only a dozen times for about an hour each time! Maybe defective bulb? Wasn’t able to return due to 30 day return policy. Not happy with this product and return policy! Bulb should not go out after such limited use!

A Bright And Beautiful Light Blue
I installed this blue LED pool light and we couldn’t be happier with it. It lights up the entire pool and the light blue color is much more attractive than the standard white color of a regular/incandescent bulb. The blue glow of the pool/water looks awesome at night. We like it a lot.I installed this LED pool light in less than 30 minutes, and if you’re handy with basic tools, you should be able to install this LED bulb by yourself, too. However, if you’ve never replaced a swimming pool light bulb before, I highly recommend that you watch one or two of the many YouTube videos on how to replace a swimming pool light bulb. You will find them very helpful. If you’re not handy with basic tools, you will want to hire a pool professional to install the bulb for you. But, either way, you *must* replace the fixture gasket too in my opinion. The chances of an old gasket not sealing the fixture properly are far too great. And if the fixture leaks, you will ruin/destroy your new LED light bulb. It’s just not worth taking the chance. Replace the gasket! And don’t try to save money by buying an aftermarket gasket either. They’re just not up to par in my experience. Spend the extra money for an original gasket. There’s simply no room for error when replacing a pool light bulb. Now, I have bought household LED light bulbs that were only used for about an hour a day, and they still stopped working after only three months or so. Conversely, I have also bought LED light bulbs that get used eight hours every night and they are still going strong after almost seven years. So, given the hit and miss nature of LED light bulbs as a whole, I have absolutely no idea how long this particular LED bulb will last. However, it will only be used 200 hours a year at most, so it darn well better last AT LEAST 8-10 years. If it does I’ll be thrilled with this bulb. And you can bet I will update this review and let you know if it goes out after only three or four years. If you have any questions about this LED swimming pool light, please feel free to ask, and I'll try my best to answer. I hope you found this review helpful.

Nice light output. Excellent blue shade.
You don't have to drain your pool to install this. The light fixture is sealed and comes out of the wall with a long cord at the back that lets you take the entire fixture up onto the pool deck. Get a new gasket if your light fixture is old or if you've never opened it before. The chances are pretty good that the old gasket will not seal right when you put this down in the water again. There are instructions on both the product page and in the box. The light is well protected in the box although it's fairly robust as a plastic LED bulb, certainly not as fragile as a glass incandescent.I replaced the original bulb in our pool with this Coolwest bulb in about 20 minutes. I probably went faster because it's winter and the pool was really really cold. I definitely wasn't looking forward to the job but I really wanted to see the difference. The old light looked like something from an old tractor shining into the pool and cast a yellow glowy blob of meh into the water. This Coolwest light throws a much brighter blue light that covers a larger area and makes the pool look colder and even less inviting in the winter. It is a really nice blue.If you are considering replacing your old bulb with an LED, get this one. Don't hesitate. It's really not hard to replace.
