Perfect for outside! Automatically come on at night
These outdoor fairy lights are fantastic, I wish I ordered them sooner! These would make a great gift. Mine come on at dusk and stay lit throughout the night (about 10 hours) until the early morning when I wake up :) Highly recommend!SETUP:Between each pack, I covered the top of my back deck. Once set-up, they automatically turn on at dusk. Make sure to set the switch to 'On' after you've arranged them how you like, and also remove the cover on each of the solar panels so they can charge. They charge quickly! I set mine up about 5 hours before sunset (both in full sun) and they were completely charged by the time it was dark outside and automatically came on.LIGHT MODES:When they turn on for the first time, they'll start blinking and will do so in a loop. It's really cool! However, you can easily adjust this setting on the back by pushing the 'Mode' button until you find the setting that you'd like. There are a few lighting settings, so you'll need to play around with them to see which one you like. Right now, I have mine set so they don't blink. I believe I had to click the button on each about 5-6 times to get it to this setting.INSTALLATION:Easy to install, just attach the 'spike' to the solar-powered part - I stuck mine in planters. It's easy to adjust the solar-powered part so it's angled towards the sun. The lights came in one box but packaged separately in bags. The solar-powered part is covered so it's not damaged. The instructions are clear as well. The cords were wound by twisty ties. The only trouble I had was unraveling the first set of lights. They're so delicate that they tangle easily (be mindful of this), but I think this was partly user error on my part. The second set was easy to unravel after I learned my lesson with the first set ;)BRIGHTNESS: They're bright! Not super-bright, but I can see them from the street when it's dark out, which I like. They have a warm, yellow like glow to them, not a 'cool' blue led-like glow. I like that I can be outside and not feel like I need to light a candle to have light, these defintely do the trick!

Solar lights work well, amazingly bright but NOT when Christmas lights are on near solar panel
Bought the Brightown solar fairy lights for our palm trees. Charged the solar panels in the sun. Took time to carefully unwind the copper wire so as not to tangle as other reviews posted. I posted the solar panel, started from the bottom of the palms unwinding the copper light strands slowly as I was winding them up around the palms. This worked well, no tangles. Reasonably, it is copper wire so it can get stuck in a bend and catch the wire going the other way. I also gently wound the copper wire with fairy lights around a bungie cord near the top or before the palm leaves (see photo to keep the lights in place) and then came back down the palm trees so as to double up for brighter lights (see photos). The lights did not turn on as the sun set. Clicked and double clicked the ON/OFF button, nothing. The solar lights DID come on when we turned the panels upside down to trouble shoot. We have dark smooth river rock in our palm trees. We figured out that our Christmas lights impact the solar panel sensor. Sensors must sense the Christmas lights mistakenly for daylight and not turn on. Logically, the solar panels work when our Christmas lights are off. Worth the money, plenty of light, joyful, ease of set up and use, bring ambiance and they stay bright evening to morning and they are solar. I am ordering more. (My sweetheart originally said that he thought I should return these lights because he thought they would not be very bright. He loves them! We took down the Christmas lights after New Years and left the Brightown solar fairy lights up on the palm trees for ambiance and entertaining.)NOTE:1) Unwinding the copper wire in a consistent manner keeps wire from tangling.2) We doubled up the lights by back tracking, however, the little fairy lights are quite bright so we may wind them up the palms in a single strand next time assuming they unwind easily and can be stored and reused.3) The solar lights did not turn on with the panel facing up while the Christmas lights are on. The solar panels are impacted by other lights mimicking daylight. Either turn the panel upside down or turn off the Christmas lights or other lights. We opted for upside down solar panel so we can enjoy all the lights.4) There are different modes of twinkling or flashing and solid. We chose solid lights.5) We can see the lights from 2 blocks away or approx. 300-400 yards away. Impressive for tiny lights!6) After New Years I wound the solar fairy lights (4 strands) around a large empty plastic sparkling water bottle (photo). I used blue tape to keep the strands separate and in place once they are completely wound. This worked well for storage and for when I laid them out and wound them around the columns this year. We love these lights.

Lives up to its name
Bought these lights when lights I bought from a different company did not work properly. These lights were perfect. I wanted them to light up our dark driveway, which they do perfectly. I have had them for about a month now and they are still going strong.

1 Stopped working after a couple of days. Other 3 look good.
1 stopped working after a couple of days. Other 3 look good. Easy to set up. Reached out to seller to see ifI could get just the one replaced as the other 3 are wrapped around trees & I don't want to take them down.

Squirrel/Bird feeder.
I bought these solar lights to high light my squirrel feeders. First night they stayed on almost all night. The older they get not as long, but this could be due to us having overcast days. I was able to hot glue the lights with no problems to report, great product for the price. Lights have been installed outdoors for the last two weeks with no problems to report.

Great cheery lights at night
This is my 4th purchase. I give them as gifts to my kids also. They are a great bargain. We have 11 acres and use these solar lights along driveway, pools, ponds and ski paths, chicken coop and workshop in my fake barn. They are reliable, some of ours are 4 yrs old now. The important thing is make sure you take time to pre-charge them before use, also place them in max sunlight (angles) and clean them of obstructions, like snow/ice!.

Beautiful cost effective lighting
I have bought many of these to light up my trees as well as the top of my metal picket fence. They are easy to install and cost nothing to operate as they are solar powered. I love how they add a warm inviting look to my yard in the evening.
