Polycab Whoosh Exhaust Fan (Coal Black, 300MM)

The fan that was delivered to me had the problem of blade fouling with the frame. See the pictures. It just could not rotate. There was a broken wife in the front guard/grill also. That made me wonder about the quality assurance checks during assembly/ before dispatch! Judging the quality of Polycab fans by this fan I just wanted to return and get a refund. But Amazon offered me the option of either repairing it myself (which according to Amazon is the easiest way) or replacing it with an identical fan. But thanks to Amazon, the replacement was delivered in another four days time. I was not pleased to see that the fan (carton)was not factory sealed. Was it opened by the seller just to check the contents or is it a refurbished fan? The packing within the carton also was disturbed and was not arranged properly so as as avoid transit damage. Anyway the fan was received without any damage and in working condition. The fan delivered on 22.01.2023 was manufactured in Dec 2020. It is said to be 300mm, 50W, 1400 rpm, 1300 cmh capacity. What polycab described as a silent fan is all of that. It is silent but no whoosh! So silent that it seems to have forgotten to deliver the 1300 cmh air mentioned in the specification. I bought this fan to replace a 20 yr old Polar fan, 300mm, 50W,1350 rpm fan. But boy! that was a fan when it comes to air delivery. I went for the name Polycab because it was a reputed name for cables!!!
