Great brewer cup
This is a fantastic cup for making good coffee on the go just need a flask for hot water I’ve used this on picnics and it’s just great easy to use and makes a great cuppa coffee.

Simple and effective
I had ground coffee left sitting in my cupboard after my cafetière broke. I bought a replacement from a supermarket, but it was useless and I got fed up having to use a tea strainer to decant the coffee from it.So I was a bit sceptical of this little mug, but thought I’d give it a go. I’m glad that I did. It’s such a useful thing and so effective. As long as you’re careful not to let the grounds attach to the sides as you drop it into the mug, the plunger attachment will keep it all at the bottom and leave you with a smooth cup of coffee.

Fantastic device for the coffee lover
I've had a couple of these Cafetiere mugs, the previous one lasted for a couple of years and I took it camping several times as well as using it 2-3 times everyday, so it had a lot of use. Eventually though the small handle on the inner filter snapped off when I was removing it to empty the coffee grounds.I then purchased this one, and again it gets a lot of use, as it's perfect for me, working from home and being the only coffee drinker in the house. After 5-6 months use I noticed I had lots of coffee grounds in my coffee, and it turned out that the rubber seal on the inner filter had come away, and this was due to the two moulded plastic sections at the base of the filter separating. As these seem to be bonded together in some way during manufacture, they also retain the rubber seal in a locating groove, and now these had come apart the rubber seal had moved out of position when pushing the inner filter down.Although not expensive, especially for the amount of use it gets, I wanted to try and repair it, but didn't want to use any sort of glue as obviously that could contaminate my coffee in some way!I dug out my small box of nuts and bolts and my drill and managed to repair it :)Except for this minor weakness in the design, these are fantastic little devices for the coffee lover, easier to use and clean than a full size cafetière, they are insulated so keep your coffee hot for longer and are ideal for travelling/camping.UPDATE: I still love these mugs, however one of mine started making strange noises when filled with hot water and then I noticed that some water had got inside the mug, between the inner and outer parts.I still don't know how it got in there, as avoid submerging it into water, but I managed to separate the inner/outer parts ( see pics ), cleaned and dried it and then superglued it back together.

Perfect for proper coffee on the go
This is perfect! I wanted to take my proper ground coffee with me when I drive to work, this is perfect for this. The grounds do not come through the mesh and the mug keeps the coffee hot for a good amount of time, I might even buy another one! No leaks, and easy to drink from.

Great idea, some flaws in the filter
Overall, this is a decent cafetiere-mug, with some nice features: the thermal insulation keeps hot drinks hot for longer, and the lid with sip hole helps even more. The lid makes it easier to travel with, but it must be kept upright. The main flaw, as others have pointed out, is that there is a purpose-built hole in the plunger through which liquid and coffee granules can travel from below the filter to above the filter, i.e. it lets more granules through into the drinking section than a standard cafetiere. I imagine this is to let the plunger be pushed down more easily. But no cafetiere does a perfect job at keeping granules locked away, and it's not a massive grievance to get a few extra granules in your drink. I'm not convinced that hole is really necessary, but perhaps it is.Suggested improvements: aside from removing that hole, it would be nice if the lid could be placed without pushing down the plunger so that you can let the coffee brew while travelling. As it is, before the lid can be placed, you have to plunge all the way down, preventing the granules from mixing with the water, or fully remove the plunger.

Very very good
This is such a great idea that makes me wonder why it hasn't been done before. Making a coffee at work with this is no harder than using instant coffee, but obviously the results are much better! I bought it in grey and it looks smart and is pleasant to hold. It's double walled so doesn't get too hot either. The plunger has a good quality rubber seal that seems like it'll last if I'm gentle with it.Downsides are that perhaps it's a bit plastic - a more premium finish would be nice but I appreciate the plastic stops bits from holding too much heat. Also, I have my coffee black, but if you wanted milk then you'd have to decide when you add it - would you brew first and then head back to the kitchen for milk after you plunge? Lastly, a few granules seem to make their way drink-side through the hole in the side of the plunger. You can minimize that by being gentle when you plunge and then just remember they'll be there so you don't get a gritty end to the drink! For the money, it's fantastic. One of the best things I've bought in a while.

Durable & well made mug. Great coffee!
Really nice mug. Sturdy design with the thick plastic and the red finish isn't as pronounced as i thought. Though i would prefer if there were more options for this colour wise and maybe even size wise because although its probably enough if you fill the coffee to the top, would be better if there was slightly more room towards the top end of the mug.It works by putting a scoop of ground coffee in and filling it up maybe halfway with boiling water. then you leave it for a few seconds and push down the filter firmly but not too fast. After i top it up to the top and it tastes perfect. One problem is that i don't use the lid that comes with it simply because why would you need to. The design of the mug means that its not going to fit into most car drinks holder as the handle is very low to the bottom so not being able to have it in the car ride to work is a bit annoying but that doesn't bother me too much.Very nice mug though and so simple to use. Thoroughly recommend if you want nice coffee
