Coco Coir Bricks are made from peat-free compressed coconut fibre, a renewable resource obtained from organically grown palm trees. Each brick measures approximately 200 x 100 x 50mm. When water is added the brick will expand to hold approx 9 litres of coir. Coir is one of the best growing mediums for seeds, seedlings, cuttings, a whole range of plants and as a primer for home made compost. Use with compost or just use clean. Plus it makes a base for hanging baskets. Coir is also the perfect bedding for reptiles, worms and snails. 100% natural coir sustainable alternative to peat with excellent water retention, air permeability and drainage. Coir allows plants to develop stronger root systems making them resistant to diseases as they develop, place the coir bricks in a large bucket and fill them with 3 litres of water. Leave for 30 minutes and the stone will expand to about 8-10 times its original size as it absorbs the water. Break off and crumble any hardened areas or areas with your fingers and it is immediately ready for sound output. .

Fantastic substrate. The fact that it is organic helps a lot. My spiders and scorpion love it. When I soaked it in water, I was amazed at how much fluffy coco fibre it made. I love, love, love this product, and will definitely purchase from the seller again.

Easy substrate delivery.
Very easy to make and does make loads. My tortoise doesn't seem to like it much- but that's not the bricks fault. A very elegant way to get a lot of substrate. It's just unfortunate my tortoise prefers the Metro!

works just as it says, although my puppy managed to grab it b4 i could use it, about 50% that i could save...worked a treat. and i have told many friends and family, and they are going to try it too. my puppy, loved it!! her review is as follows....woof, yapp yapp, translated, she loved it. but my mum wasn't to happy about having to clean it all up, oops, i think i was in the 'dog house. x

Safe and the perfect size for indoors
Great product, great price. I use this for microgreens for my birds, its a clean safe compost and can be stored without fuss til needed. Very good

Wasn’t impressed
How much water was I meant to add?Didn’t seem to be a lot in the pack for what I was expecting.Purchased for my tortoise.He didn’t seem fussed and went back to his top soil bed instead.

Mix it with fertiliser and plant
Repotted all my roses mixing this with soil and fertiliser. My plants love it.

Product does not match with advertisement images!
Doesn’t have a cover and label that appear in the advertisement for the product. Also, the brick product is not protected at hold, and debris is missed when open the envelope. The brick is just put on the post. For the prize charge with no packing and label, I will not repeat the purchase on this product. Feeling disappointed, the product does not match with the advertisement.

Good value for price
Good value for price, it performs well and excellent to mix with soil depending on the type of plant you use.I mixed this with 30% soil, 5%perlite and my Palm tree seem happier.
