Road Atlas Ireland: Touring edition A4 Paperback (Collins Road Atlas)

Used it often while touring Ireland in addition to the gps. Maps were large, easy to read and very accurate. Helpful trip planning guides as well.

We always travel to Ireland with a paper map. As wonderful as Google Maps are, service areas change, and if you want to travel remote, Collins has the most detailed, high quality maps. This road atlas is perfect for travel and for planning. Google wants to direct you from point A to point B - or go cross eyed viewing the map on a phone's screen. Maps have suited us well as we travel to Ireland often and are always searching for travel routes that will be interesting, rather than just getting from A to B. We simply don't leave home without them. And buy these while they are available as they are updated annually and will soon be in short supply - in spite of the digital revolution.

We used this when we rented a car and drove in Ireland. I found it helpful. Surprisingly, we were able to use Siri everywhere we went. However, I found it useful. If we had not had Siri , this would have been great as a stand alone

Color & clarity are excellent. Difficult to follow which page flows where on a few pages. Overall though- I’m so glad I purchased it!

Very handy if you're going to be driving yourself around. Puts trip times in perspective. Good for finding route around and backroad attractions.

Easy to read. It’s packed in my suitcase with yellow highlighter on the roads we plan to take.

It gave me a better understanding of the counties in Ireland.

I had expected this to be larger ( own fault for not reading that it’s A4 size) good amount of detail but you need to change pages frequently if doing a longer trip… great if staying in a more local area.
